The story of how the reading of Miranda rights became routine police procedure is now filming in New Jersey.

“Miranda’s Victim,” starring Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin, is based on the real court case that set the precedent.

Though the movie has much more to do with Arizona than Jersey, production is underway in Monmouth County.

Deadline reports that Golden Globe winner Kyle MacLachlan (”Twin Peaks”), Ryan Phillippe (”MacGruber”), Mireille Enos (“Hanna”) and Taryn Manning (“Orange is the New Black”) have joined Breslin in the cast, which also includes Luke Wilson, Emmy winner and honorary Oscar recipient Donald Sutherland and Andy Garcia.

The film, directed by Michelle Danner (”Bad Impulse,” “The Runner”), was written by George Kolber and J. Craig Stiles.
